Two Decades.
Thousands of Examinations.
The Same Standard Every Time.
ATR Forensics, a practice of Adaptable Technical Resources LLC, was built on a simple premise: when a case turns on digital evidence, the forensic work must be performed by experts whose methodology has already withstood judicial scrutiny — not someone learning on your matter.
Nationally recognized expertise in digital forensics.
Adaptable Technical Resources LLC brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience supporting complex litigation and investigations. Our experts have conducted and directed thousands of computer forensic examinations across the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) — encompassing the identification, preservation, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence.
Our experience uniquely combines deep technical expertise with legal and procedural fluency. We have provided expert testimony in numerous legal proceedings, including matters adjudicated in state and federal courts, and have served as both party-retained experts and court-appointed neutral subject matter experts in high-stakes litigations where our findings have informed discovery rulings, dispositive motions, and trial strategy.
Our experts have testified in court on cases involving suspected theft of intellectual property, corporate trade secrets, and corporate espionage — including matters involving unauthorized access, covert data acquisition, insider misuse of systems, and competitive intelligence abuses. Our forensic analyses routinely address questions of data exfiltration, user activity, device usage, and attribution.
Adaptable Technical Resources LLC is a frequent presenter and keynote contributor for Am Law 100 firms, Fortune 500 corporations, and class-action and mass-tort plaintiff-side counsel. Our published work focuses on the evolving nature of digital evidence, forensic readiness, and privacy and data-protection frameworks — including CCPA and GDPR.
Standard-setter. Cross-border. Highest stakes.
Standard-Setter, Not Just User
Our experts founded and led the validation function for EnCase at Guidance Software — helping design the testing protocols that governed the accuracy and reliability of one of the most widely-used digital forensic platforms.
Cross-Border Operational Experience
We have built and supervised forensic operations across the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany — addressing GDPR-bound collections, jurisdictional handling, and cross-border preservation at enterprise scale.
The Highest-Stakes Matters
Our work has been retained in MDLs, securities class actions, and federal qui tam proceedings — informing TROs, expedited discovery, sanctions motions, and dispositive trial outcomes.

When attorneys retain us.
ATR Forensics is routinely retained in contested forensic matters where the handling, interpretation, or integrity of digital evidence is central to disputed legal claims. Our engagements most often arise in the context of allegations involving intellectual property theft, trade secret misappropriation, insider misuse of systems, unauthorized access, spoliation, and disputed preservation or collection practices.
We are frequently engaged during early, high-risk phases of litigation — including pre-suit investigations, applications for temporary restraining orders (TROs), and expedited discovery proceedings — where forensic findings must withstand immediate judicial scrutiny.
In these matters, we are asked to assess and opine on whether digital evidence supports or contradicts claims of data exfiltration, deletion, concealment, or misuse, and whether investigative actions taken by parties were reasonable, proportional, and forensically defensible.
